In this tutorial, we'll learn how to download a video from the Internet using a web browser and save it as a file in your computer.

To download a video, follow the following steps:

1: open your web browser and visit the web page where the video that you want to download is located.

2: right click on the video to display its context menu.

A video post on Tumblr with a context menu appearing over it. Its items are: Loop; Show all controls; Open video in new tab; Save video frame as...; Save video as...; Copy video frame; Copy video address; Picture in picture; Cast...; Search with Google Lens; Inspect.

VivaldiSave Video As...

Note: if you can't find the "save video" option, it's possible that the website doesn't allow you to download videos by right-clicking on them. See [Websites that Let You Download Videos]. In this case, it may still be possible to download the video by using a third-party video downloader, although that's not recommended.

Warning: it's possible you'll see options labelled "Save as..." or "Save Link As..." in the context menu as well. The "Save as..." option saves the whole page somewhere. The save link option only appears if you click on a video that is also a hyperlink. If the hyperlink is to another page, it will save that whole page.

After clicking on an option, a save file dialog will appear for you to choose where to save the video.

4: select the location to save and click the Save button. The video will be saved to your PC.
