Wanted to say thank you. I was searching on how to do this switch and this was the article that finally told me how to make the switch on recent versions of LibreOffice.

That worked, but now the area above the spreadsheet (where I choose font, color, and other options for the spreadsheet) is almost illegible. I wish I could attach a screenshot for you to see.

I have been sweating working with this to get it correctly colored for a week. I have dozens of spreadsheets with 30 tabs on some. I almost came to the point of quitting the work for the massive listings of people we help with certain things.
I have two laptops. After upgrading one with this horror and working with it for days, I turned on the other one and it immediately performed an automatic upgrade and trashed those spreadsheets.
