For anyone reading this guide in 2025: This also works for Tumbex, Tumlook, and other Tumblr viewers. Those viewers tend to load faster tham Tumblr, minus the videos. Disabling QUIC also speeds up the whole browser. I'm using mobile, I tested it on Firefox Nightly and Chrome. It worked on Chrome. Tumblr is still slow on Firefox. I couldn't find network.http.http3.enabled in about:config, so I made it myself, and toggled it to false. It didn't do anything. However, I found network.http.http3.enable (without the d at the end) and toggled that to false too and while other pages loaded faster, I didn't notice a significant difference with Tumblr.
