One strange thing that has happened is that, after uploading the video, the number of "views" and "watch hours" reported by Youtube's analytics on my channel significantly dropped on the day I uploaded the video.
If you look at this data, it's pretty obvious that uploading the video about torrents caused the drop in views. One could imagine that the channel was temporarily restricted while a manual or automatic review was conducted, or something like that, and during this restricted period nobody could access the channel, or they could access the channel but the views weren't counted for some reason.
However, whenever something like this happens, the first thing one must make sure of is that the analytics are working in first place. Because, albeit unlikely, it's completely possible that Youtube's analytics decided to stop working the exact day I uploaded the video by pure coincidence.
Turns out that the drop in views happened in the last day of June and on July 1st, which is actually BEFORE I uploaded the video. It was all just a strange coincidence.
Uploading the video about torrents hasn't restricted my channel or lead to any review (that I know of, or at least not yet). This is important to know because torrents are a very cool technology for sharing files, but due to its common usage in piracy, there are many cases where the very word "torrent" is filtered with some filter that assumes all related content will be about piracy.
In fact, if you try to search for something like "how to use torrent" on Youtube, the autocomplete will not show any suggestion containing the word "torrent" until you type the word "torrent" in its entirety, suggesting that the word is already filtered from autocomplete suggestions in some way.
