What is IRL?
IRL stands for In Real Life, as opposed to on the Internet or in the computer.
- Let's meet IRL = Let's meet in real life.
Real life also has other names, such as "Outside" in the sense of a video-game that is called "Outside" and has very realistic graphics, or meatspace as opposed to cyberspace.
Not to be confused with URL.
