What is a File Properties Dialog?

A file properties dialog is a type of dialog window that displays the properties of a file or folder (directory) in the computer, including, for example, its file size in bytes and what user has the ownership of the file. File properties dialogs are conventionally opened by right clicking on a file in a file manager and selecting the "Properties" option.
