In this tutorial, we'll learn how to download an image from the Internet using a web browser and save it as a file in your computer.

1: open your web browser and visit the web page where the image you want to download is located.

2: right click on the image to display its context menu.

3: click on the option Save Image As... to save the image. Depending on your web browser, it may be labelled slightly differently.

Web BrowserTerm
ChromeSave Image As...
FirefoxSave Image As...
EdgeSave image as
VivaldiImage -> Save Image As...

Warning: it's possible you'll see options labelled "Save as..." or "Save Link As..." in the context menu as well. The "Save as..." option saves the whole page somewhere. The save link option only appears if you click on an image that is also a hyperlink. If the hyperlink is to another page, it will save the whole page. If the hyperlink is to the URL of a full size version of the image, it will save that full size version.

After clicking on an option, a save file dialog will appear for you to choose where to save the image.

4: select the location to save and click the Save button. The image will be saved to your PC.
