What is RSS?

RSS is a technology that allows you to "follow" websites without using a social media platform, meaning you can have a feed of postsblog posts, news articles, etc.—posted on the website that is downloaded to your PC directly without having to create an account anywhere.

In order to use RSS, you need to find a website that supports RSS feeds and a RSS client to download those RSS feeds for you. There are several RSS clients available in the market. Many are free and can be installed locally in your computer. Some of them are online services that offer extra features in exchange for a subscription fee.
