    On 25 of April, 2025, famous gaming livestreamer and Youtuber, PewDiePie, published a video showing the world that he uses Linux. The video, which starts with him listing the reasons he left Windows for Linux, snowballs into critical levels of pure nerd glee rarely seen recorded in video.
  • It Happened: "Yes, do as I say!" Linux Newbie Accidentally Destroys System in 15 Minutes

    Reference
    In 2021, Linus Tech Tips, a popular Youtube channel about tech tips by a guy called Linus, did a challenge in which they tried to install and use Linux for playing games. 15 minutes after installing the Pop!_OS distro, while trying to install Steam, Linus managed to break his operating system by typing the following confirmation phrase: "Yes, do as I say!"
  • It Happened: Bumblebee does the rm -rf /usr on Linux

    Reference
    In 2011, Bumblebee, a third-party driver that provided support for Nvidia Optimus on Linux, contained a bug in its Bash script that caused the entire /usr directory to be deleted.
  • It Happened: Steam Does the "rm -rf /*" on Linux

    Definition
    In 2015, Steam accidentally deleted all of a user's files on Linux due to a bug in a Bash script.
