What is the Windows Media Player?
The Windows Media Player is the media player (video player and music player) that comes installed by default on Windows. It supports various audio and video formats, including AVI, MP4, WebM, MKV, WMV, MOV, WAV, MP3, FLAC, OGG, and WMA. It doesn't seem to support FLV, AIFF, and MIDI as of version 11. It can't play the next file in a folder without manually creating a playlist, but it can cast to smart TV's.
