What is Electron in the Computer?

Electron can mean two things a computer:

1: the subatomic particle that is used in a typical computer to do computations. It's also related to electricity, a type of energy that makes CPU's get hot. And related to magnetism, that is used by HDD's to store data.

2: a development tool [electronjs.org] for creating applications using technologies that traditionally would be used for creating webpages [Why Electron Applications Exist?].
