WinRAR [https://www.rarlab.com/] is a popular archiver application available for Windows (with partial support for macOS and Linux). Its native format are WinRAR archives (.rar extension).
Meme
WinRAR has become a meme on the Internet for having an infinite trial. Although WinRAR is a paid product, if you don't purchase a license after the trial is expired, the only thing that happens is that it displays a dialog box telling you to purchase a license. Consequently:
- It's a meme that WinRAR has no sales, since there is no reason to purchase it, so nobody ever buys it.
- It's a meme that having purchased WinRAR is a sign of great virtue, e.g. "that person is so noble that he has even purchased WinRAR."

Winrar [...] became known for it's [sic] infinite free trial. Because of this, many memes were made about it either related to Winrar being the best company ever, or about how owning Winrar is a sign of extreme wealth.
