What is a Zipped Folder?
A zipped folder, also called an archive, is a type of file that looks like a folder, containing files within, but it's actually a file.
File Extension
Typically, the file extension of a zipped folder would be .zip, so if you see .zip file, that's a zipped folder. However there are many file formats work like zipped folders, some of them being called "archives" instead.
