What is the "Enter Key" in the Computer?
Enter key is the name of a key of the computer keyboard, or, more specifically, of two keys: one found in the alphanumeric area (also called the Return key), and one found in the numpad (always called "enter key" and never "return key").
Pressing the Enter key while typing a text breaks the current line (inserts a new line character). The Enter key activates buttons that have keyboard focus, and behaves opens files that are selected in a file manager (behaves like a double click).
