What is the WinKey in the Computer?

WinKey is short for Windows key, the name of a key of the computer keyboard with the Microsoft Windows logo printed on it that opens the start menu when pressed.

It's also used as a modifier key in keyboard shortcuts related to the operating system. By convention, applications do not use it for their own shortcuts. For example, WinKey+D reveals the desktop. WinKey+Down minimizes the active window. WindKey+Up maximizes.

Where is the WinKey on the Keyboard?

The left WinKey located between the Ctrl and Alt keys on the left side of the alphanumeric area. The right WinKey is between the right Alt and Menu key.

The exact appearance of the WinKey varies a lot from keyboard to keyboard.
